I had used gameservers for a long time and it was extremely painful to deal with such a poor run company. Support would sometimes take days to respond, and they had very little knowledge of what they were doing. I later moved to other hosts to try out. About 5 or 6 to be honest, and all were better, but some were far better. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone, even if it was the only company available. And for the clown that granted these guys the exclusive rights to Black Ops, your simple minded in giving these guys what you did. Do some research next time and see all the bad comments about this company.
total incompetent.3-4 people with 5-6 opinions on 1 ticket. 1 says : ok,money back for downtime(i was 2weeks not be able to play on it). 2nd guy: no money back^^
server “upgrades” that are actually downgrades,adminpanel bugged and so on.
switched to hosters.at and now im fine.
We tested the BF3 Beta servers and found Gameservers was holding up to tradition. Same old laggy ass servers as they are known for.
I have had a few servers with them. The. Worst. Host. Ever. It might be because they have hundreds of thousands of other clients. If you are paying them a lot though they will cater to you more.
Gameserver is by far one of the worst game server providers on the planet. I have used them off and on over the years. Once upon a time, they were fantastic. Back when they used to be Clanservers.
Their support ticket time is atrocious. Half a day if you are lucky, several days is more typical.
The only servers we now have are Black Ops servers. If it were not for the evil that is Activision, granting GS an illegal monopoly on these servers, they would not get my business for that either.
Every evening our Black Ops servers fill and start to lag out of control. Everyone complains about the lag. All we want to do is be able to sling bullets and have fun, and can’t due to all the rubber banding and excessive lag.
Gameservers response? They advise either re-installing the server or moving to another location. Absolutely retarded response. I have to guess this is their way of saying, yeah the boxes there are severely over loaded.
I would advise you avoid Gameservers at all costs. Don’t fall for their pricing or cheap deals. You will regret using them for a host.
